Barnard 336 - dark nebula in Aquila

Located not far from 2.72 mag. star Tarazed (γ Aquilae), this dark nebula is projected over very dense Milky Way star field. It is catalogued by Edward Emerson Barnard in his Barnard Catalogue of Dark Markings in the Sky in 1927 under number 336. Other designation are LDN 702 and [CB88] 198.
