This image covers some 1.64 x 1.25 deg on the southeastern edge of the constellation Cepheus and northwestern Cassiopeia. Sh 2-147, Sh 2-148, and Sh 2-149 form one of the two cores of the 105 thousand solar mass molecular cloud [UUT2000] Cloud A. The other core is associated with Sh 2-152 and Sh 2-153. This molecular cloud may be interacting with the supernova remnant SNR G109.1-01.0 (CTB 109). The complex is located on the Arm of Perseus at a distance of 5500 parsecs (17930 light years). According to the Avedisova Catalog, responsible for ionizing the gases of the complex would be a blue star of spectral class O8V and a blue star of class B0V. The open clusters King 10 and King 18, as well as six sources of infrared radiation are also located near this system. Among these, the 2MASX J22555978 + 5814424 source stands out, coinciding with a young stellar object, which emissions are linked to the wavelength of carbon monoxide and ammonia. | |||||||||||||||||||||||
