VdB 140 - reflection nebula in Cepheus

VdB 140 is a reflection nebula in the constellation Cepheus. Located about one and a half degree SW from Sh2-129 and OU4 (see the annotated mouseover below), it is illumitated from the star V421 Cep, a blue giant of sixth magnitude. The distance is estimated at about 2500 light-years.
