VdB 32 is a reflection nebula visible in the constellation of Auriga. Its detection is facilitated by the presence of bright ε Aurigae, an eclipsing variable, which in the phase of maximum reaches magnitude 2.92. The nebula reflects the light of the blue-white star BD + 44 ° 1080 of spectral class B5V and with a magnitude of 9.29, thus appears in a distinctly bluish color. Some other objects are visible on this image (see mouseover), among them the open clusters Berk 14 and Berk 15.
