Comet C/2017 O1 ASAS-SN was discovered on July 19, 2017 by All-Sky Automated Survey for Supernovae (ASASSN) This image shows the comet on the night of October 14th 2017, when it was situated not far from the emission nebulae Sh2-212 and Sh2-211 (see annotation map).
