VdB 143 ( also catalogued as DG 175, Magakian 864, Ced 194, HD 206135, V433 Cep) is a reflection nebula in the constellation Cepheus. It is located in the central part of the constellation, about 2.5 ° SSE of the star Alfirk. The nebula is illuminated by HD 206135, a blue main sequence star with spectral class B3V, whose apparent magnitude is 8.27. Its distance, determined by measuring the parallax, is about 1190 parsecs (3880 light-years), and thus it is linked to the galactic environment of the association Cepheus OB2.
