VdB 153 is a reflection nebula in the constellation Cepheus. Located about half degree SW from Sh2-140 (see mouseover), it appears as a faint diffused light around the central star, a blue star of main sequence of spectral type B2 V, which gives the nebula a bluish color. This star is known as BD + 61 2292 and at the moment it doesn't have an useful parallax measurement, thus its distance is not known with certainty.
